CBS: Survivor: Gabon — There’s drama because some contestants are accused of overeating, and then a contestant is so roughed up during a challenge that their future on the show’s in doubt. It’s only the second week, so I guess things are getting tough early.

NBC: My Name Is Earl — Joy has to stay in a bubble because of a flesh-eating disease on her toe (hope you’re not eating anything while reading this) and Earl has to take over household duties for her, including helping her two sons get over their school issues. In the second issue, Jerry Van Dyke plays a former Green Beret who Earl stole an RV that is the latest recepient of the karma list.

Fox: Hole in the Wall — Oh geez, they’re already doing celebrity challenges? In one part of the show, the girls of “The Flavor of Love” on VH1 take on the girls of “The Rock of Love”. I think the true challenge is seeing some of those girls’ breasts getting through the holes at all.

Grey’s Anatomy – If you’ve seen any of the preview commercials with Grey’s during and after the Emmy’s, you already know what’s going to ruin Derek and Meredith’s morning-after glow. Also, Cristina’s intrigued by a guy who comes in as a trauma patient. It’s about time Sandra Oh gets another love interest!

CBS: Survivor: Gabon – The castaways are stuck in Africa this time. Other than that, nothing seems to have changed.

NBC: My Name is Earl – Earl visits one of his past victims (Seth Green) and helps him make a low-budget film. And apparently Randy is discovered to be quite the thespian. Who whoulda thunk?

The Office – The Dunder-Mifflin staff begin a weight-loss challenge that gets out of hand. Michael likes the new HR specialist a little too much. And Pam’s off in New York, leaving Jim behind to look pitiful and whine like a hungry puppy.

ER: The County staff deal with the aftermath of last season’s ambulance explosion. Pratt has complications with his injuries, while Abby makes mistakes in treating a mother and daughter who were hurt. Your usual fun and good times.

Fox: Kitchen Nightmares - Okay, just to see which you like better, check out the “Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares” at 8 on BBC America. Then turn this on at 9. It’s only fair.

CW: Smallville – Clark starts working at the Daily Planet and is teamed up with Lana on a story. I’m sure there will be no fighting or romantic tension at all there.

Supernatural - The spirits of Sam and Agent Hendirckson appear, and they’re not happy.

AMC: Mad Men – Don may have gotten the perfect secretary. I assume she has no clothes and less morals? Also, Peggy helps Don sort out a problem between a comedian and his wife. In the second hour Duck and Don work on their differences and Peggy tries to be a part of an after-hours meeting with agency bigwigs.

Actor Alec Baldwin, who has made it clear over the past season that he’d rather be let out of his contract with NBC for “30 Rock” than spend another season racking up more critical accolades and award nominations, had some sharp words for the network’s execs in a recent “New Yorker” profile.

“If the show does succeed, it’ll be something of a fucking miracle, because NBC hasn’t done a fucking thing to help this show at all. This show is the red-headed stepchild in the lineup. They’ve gone out of their way to wring the last drops out of ‘My Name Is Earl’ and ‘Scrubs.’ Those shows are done! They’re cooked! Yet they do a one-hour episode of ‘Earl’! You’ve got to be fucking kidding me!”

For some strange reason, “My Name Is Earl” creator Greg Garcia took exception to Baldwin’s rant in remarks to Defamer.

“Maybe the reason enough people aren’t watching 30 Rock to make Mr. Baldwin happy is because Alec Baldwin is so unlikable as a person. 30 Rock is a really funny show. And Alec Baldwin is funny as long as someone else is writing his words. When left to his own devices, he sounds like a psychotic narcissist who whines about being rich for 8 pages in The New Yorker.”

We can only imagine what Baldwin has had to say in NBC Universal head Jeff Zucker’s voice mail after that.
