Tonight On TV Part 2: Oct. 20
I’ve already posted the usual “Today on TV”, but a few special items have been passed along to add to the list.
NBC: My Own Worst Enemy — Henry is recovering from learning the truth about his fabricated memories, as he hides it from Edward’s boss (James Cromwell, who plays a bad guy wonderfully.) There are two Webisodes (1 and 2) that feature stories behind the show’s plot, plus another online video that features the cast of the Webisodes talking about their storylines. Confusing much? Since there’s so much backstory behind the characters on the show, the Webisodes help fill in some blanks that would otherwise be ignored. It’s kinda sad that such ideas weren’t really around when “The X-Files” was on Fox, so we could get all sorts of viral video about the Mythology. And ABC should take notes on how to deal with the confusion surrounding “Life On Mars” before its too late.
ABC: Boston Legal — Annie Potts guest-stars as Jerry’s sister, who is looking for the anonymous sperm donor who fathered her son. Shirley and Alan prepare for a tough fight with the military over a man whose brother died mysteriously.
TLC: Little People, Big World — The Roloffs become the latest TLC family to go green (hope their efforts last longer than the Gosselins’ on “John and Kate Plus 8″, where it became Internet gossip when they got rid of the recycling bins they made on the show.) They are installing a geothermal heat pump, and the kids get a chance to camp out as a result.
