Win A BBC Video Historical Drama

Do you like your drama in costume and with a British accent?

Sense & SensibilityAs a nice way to commemorate getting through a few weeks of blogging here at the ‘Scrib and to thank you for being here to read it, I’m giving away BBC Video’s Region 1 two-disc DVD sets of “Sense & Sensibility” (is David Morrissey’s Col. Brandon hotter than Alan Rickman’s? That’s a really tough question) and “Cranford”. Winners will receive one copy of either of the DVD sets.

To win, leave a comment that includes 1) a valid e-mail address, and 2) the name of your favorite TV minidrama (American or British). That can be anything from “The Thorn Birds” to “Bleak House” — something that shows on TV over a series of nights and features much melodrama. Winners will be picked at random, and the prizes can be shipped to U.S. addresses only. Entries will be accepted until Sunday, August 17 at midnight.
