Adam Rodriguez Admits to Being ‘Grossed Out’ on CSI: Miami

CSI: Miami’s Adam Rodriguez isn’t usually bothered by the blood and gore he faces every week on the show. But one episode in the first season really did make him pause. “I don’t usually get grossed out, but there was this one episode that took place in the Everglades. At the end, the convict burns and the makeup guys did such a great job that it was pretty gross. It really, really did look like a person that had been in a fire and it was hard to look at.”

Rodriguez, who seemed eager to answer reporters’ questions at a press conference at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, said he feels grateful to be able to play a Hispanic character that is such a good role model. “I am not one to knock a guy for taking a job, you gotta take the roles you’re offered and hope you eventually are able to play roles you want, like Eric Delko,” he said. “It worked for me and I feel really lucky to have this job.”

He sees some similarities between himself and Eric: they are both former athletes and loyal friends. “I would say he is a lot more serious than I am and he takes orders a lot better than I do. I don’t know how I’d do with a guy like Horatio ordering me around.”

Rodriguez has a few movies coming out soon, including one with a new director that is “darker than Pulp Fiction.”
