Juno Awards – Catching Up with Triumph

Triumph, the band that was just inducted into the Hall of Fame, comes backstage for photos and an interview, along with Tom Cochrane, who presented the award.

How did Triumph get where it is? Getting out and networking. And, in terms of getting back together and going back on tour, what is the biggest concern? Jokingly, that they suck. But, more seriously, they have been on tour enough times to be unphased by it.

Triumph

Were they asked to play tonight? Although they plan a reunion tour, they have not rehearsed together yet even once! They admit their work ethic was always inspired by a cheque in their early days, practicing being less of their priority.

What young bands inspire the guys of Triumph? Alexis on Fire and Finger Eleven.

Meanwhile, back in the stadium, Min. Josee Verner, Serena Ryder, Pascale Picard and Min. Jim Prentice present the award for New Group of the Year to Wintersleep. And, while Triumph is talking to the media room, the crowd overhead is exploding as Hedley performs "For the Nights I Can’t Remember."
