Juno Awards 2008 Kick-Off
The Juno Awards are opened by a country performance of "Alberta Bound" by Paul Brandt, Gord Bamford, Aaron Lines, Johnny Reid and Shane Yellowbird. What a group of performers!
Russell Peters, Juno host for 2008, kicks off the show. Does some comedy, which is his thing.
The first award of the night is the Single of the year. Corb Lund and Suzie McNeil are the presenters. The contenders are Avril Lavigne, Feist, Finger Eleven, Michael Buble, and Jully Black.
Who will take the prize…… Feist! She takes home the award for her single, "1234". Just like last night, Feist reads her acceptance speech off from her arm. Much less troublesome than carrying a purse, to be sure!
